Hey sorry to bother you guys, [03 May 2009|07:28am]

redburr
I just wanted to tell you guys of a fun little muck I found called Meadows muck. I don't know if anyone who reads this still mucks or even cares, but its a fun little quadrupedal muck set in the northwest America in the late 1800's, early 1900's. I simply figured I'd mention it here since I recently found another old pokesaga mucker there named Friti. I figured if I enjoy it and hes enjoys it some of you others might find in enjoyable. Anyway Hope you are all doing well!

Moving to Cycles [28 Jun 2006|09:50pm]

So, Saga has gone down, and we're going to miss it.

Fortunately you don't have to lose the old crowd.

Some of us have worked together to create a new MUCK, Pokemon Cycles, that should offer a lot of the same type of gameplay that we loved with Saga. Check us out at:

cycles.isunlimited.net port 2501

Hope to see you there!

Reminiscing [23 Apr 2006|03:45pm]

Well, as the MUCK's going down, there's not much to say. Been here for more than 4 years (Created: Wed Feb 13 21:13:10 2002) and, well, I'm going to miss you all. Best known characters are Meiling the nutty Eevee/Espeon (back when Eevee was a Common species) and Fireball (the black furred Ninetales on a permanent sugar high). Needless to say I love all you guys. If you want to contact me, I'm not planning on letting go of my personal journal anytime soon so you can always leave a comment if you like. In fact, I'd absolutely love it if you tried to keep in touch.

I also play at SouCon MUSH (an AU Pern MUSH) at mush.soucon.net 4201 as Audrey, so if you feel like dropping me a line, page me and tell me you're from Saga and we can chat! :D

Sad as this is, I'd like to thank Yuki for making Saga such an awesome place to be over the last 4 years. Saga brought a lot of growth, plenty of laughs, a little bit of sadness, and some of everything really. Here's hoping your life (and that of the other wizards) is awesome, and continues to be aswesome for a long time.

Thanks.

38) Yuki Today -- IMPORTANT: Please read!
From: Yuki 10:01:03 04/23/06

Dear all,

I know a simple apology will not be sufficient for those of you who have been waiting several months for any kind of Wizard contact, but this is all I have to offer. My life moved on rather more suddenly than anticipated and some things have been severely neglected as a result, and I am truly sorry that PSM was one of them.

As much as I wish it were otherwise, I do not feel that I can resume my duties as Head Wizard, and my fellow Wizards have more than enough other matters to attend to as well. Furthermore, PSM has been dwindling and losing players for a considerable time now, even before my prolonged absence. Because of this, and because my current financial situation is not what I would like it to be, I can no longer justify continuing to pay the MUCK's hosting costs. I feel it is finally time to lay this MUCK to rest.

As some players will want to save the descriptions of their characters, items and rooms before the MUCK closes down, I will maintain the hosting for long enough to ensure that everyone has ample opportunity to do so.

*** PSM will be permanently shut down on Wednesday the 28th of June, 2006. ***

Please be aware that the Wizards will NOT be coming back on-duty during these final two months and no new characters will be created. Anyone who wishes to contact me can still do so by e-mail; I will be keeping the pokesaga@aol.com address even after the MUCK is gone.

Finally, I would like to offer my deepest and sincerest thanks to everyone who has been involved in PSM over the years, be it through building, programming, role-playing or simply coming here to chat. It may only ever have been a quiet little MUCK, but I am and always will be glad I created it, and awed that it lasted for as long as it did.

So, thank you, and I wish you all the very best, wherever your life takes you.

Yours sincerely,
Yuki
Creator and Head Wizard of Pokemon Saga MUCK

*waves to all you people* I finally joined this community! Sort of. I'm not using my real journal because I'm a paranoid little freak, but I play Suicune and Nazitra and tons of other silly people. :D

And it's taken me about three years to join this community. YAY A NEW RECORD~

I have nothing sane or important to say really.

Except that Dipper needs a trainer. Anyone want a singing Wooper? :D

Plotty thoughts! [23 May 2005|08:29pm]

No, this is not yet another silly game (but you know you like my games ;)). I like plots, but I'm not all that interested in running them. For me, planning them and participating is more interesting. Not only that, school and my habit of sleeping early means I'm usually not on long enough to get plot-type rps in when everyone else is on.

So. I had an idea today. Maybe make a subgroup of staffers that would help to run plots when players themselves either can't or aren't interested in running it. Truthfully, I am an idea person; I am more interested in throwing out a plot idea than managing the running of the plot.

Idea 2: We should have pokemon contests! Like in the anime, where pokemon are entered in the contest, and they 'perform' to try and win. Not really plotty, more like an event, but I just thought it would be cool.

Great. So now that I'm a 'member', and not just a reader (it only took four years, right?), of the PSM community journal, you can expect me to cause trouble, and I can expect to get many lashing from Yuki. :)

Let me start (posting, or causing trouble?) by saying that Yuki's absence should be coming to an end shortly, and I'm going to start talking about the everso wonderful (dangerous?) term 'TP'.

Want some? Get some!

We talked about a pokemon festival/parade a while ago and there's been lots of talk about the legendaries lately.

Ultimately TPs are about providing the players with something they want, something slightly larger than usual. There's no reason any group of players can't just go out and say 'hey, let's make this happen' (well, within reason, and that applies for a lot). Getting everyone involved, active, and enthused about a TP can often enough be done just by setting up ideas properly and making a game plan.

So, what is it? Who wants what?

My idea for a TP involves Pichu genocide. That's really not a good idea though, so someone else is going to have to come up with something.

It's been three months since anyone's posted in here. Allow me to be the one to break the silence.

We've been doing great bringing the guests in. Back in my day, I didn't even find out about the Guest Channel until a few months after I got my first character. It's nice working with a crowd so willing to help the guests.

It's been the better part of a year since the Celebi TP. Anyone have any ideas? At all? Anyone? C'mon...

A PokeSaga Thanksgiving game! [23 Nov 2004|07:41pm]

meiling196
[ mood | calm ]

Yes, it's time for another silly game. Pick one or more of your characters, and list what they are thankful for. And this isn't exactly part of the game, but I'm thankful that I know so many great people on the MUCK n.n Now... onto the game!

Meiling is thankful for: the invention of cornbread, her adopted family of Eevees and 'eons, her pal Vega, her psychic powers, and of course, for being alive and healthy n.n

Fireball is thankful for: her big huge family, which includes her immediate family, Redrum's family, and her trainer's family, and her trainer's other pokemon which also count as family.

Iceberg is thankful for: fish. And seafood. And that's about it because she's not all that good at thinking in the first place.

Your turn!

Questions and suggestions [15 Nov 2004|03:41pm]

Why is it so dull most of the time, barely any RP except late at night?
Does anyone ever try to find RP by asking or does everyone look for a gathering all the time?
The LiveJournal is almost a waste with noone using it. Perhaps we can encourage it with events and some silly postings semi-related to the muck.
What about periodically planned IC events, that way everyone will have reason for connecting atleast every so often for an event.

Thats all I have to say at the moment. I'd also like to add that anyone can page my characters for chat or RP anytime. I play Sparky and firewind on the muck.

Update! [05 Sep 2004|05:41pm]

ayaluki
[ mood | stressed ]

The problem that's preventing people from connecting to the MUCK seems to be a DNS lookup issue. If you're still having trouble connecting, try putting the following IP address into your Telnet client instead of 'mudhost.com':

65.175.132.140

The port number is the same (#2000). This seems to work fine, but bear in mind that it's only a temporary solution, as Mudhost's IP address does change occasionally. Hopefully the real problem will be resolved before that happens.

Please pass the word on to anyone you know who is unable to connect.

Several people, including myself, have been having sporadic connection problems over the past 24 hours or so. The MUCK hasn't actually crashed at any point, at least as far as I can tell; it's just that certain people are having trouble getting through at certain times, and some can't get through at all.

I have no idea what's causing the problem, but I've contacted Mudhost and hopefully the issue will be resolved very soon. Until then, if any of you have any further difficulty getting onto the MUCK, please accept my apologies for the inconvenience.

Heya! I joined too! [05 Aug 2004|02:36pm]

scraadin
Scraadin here, though on Saga you probably know me better as Deru, the bowled Charmander, permanently in a state of war with the Caterpies in a "convoluted" revenge plot. Or not.

I actually do run some sane characters, and if anyone's interested, we've actually got a mini-TP running down in Alkhaba that branched off of the Celebi-TP that we had going. It started with Seamus (one of my PD characters) and Shemri, and Seamus being chased out of Oni Village by a mob for stealing a compass that a trainer from PD had traded. What's happening is that this trainer, currently an NPC, is trading potentially history and world altering PD tools and needs to be found and stopped.

In Alkhaba the Pokemon are worshipped as gods. What would happen if someone could trap one in a Pokeball?
